Dimoff’s Back To Basics Solutions: Tips To Eliminate Life Rage
- All TV’s come out of kids bedrooms. The bedroom is not a clubhouse and a social interaction room where "Isolation" becomes the norm and you are decreasing the opportunity for "people interaction" which results in the maturing and learning of "people skills".
|
- All Computers come out of the kids’ bedrooms. The computer has opened more doors that ever conceived. The child needs to have the use of computers exercised in an open room where casual observance takes place and time allotted on the computer can be controlled more easily. Additionally, computers in kids’ bedrooms cause more isolation issues.
- Eat dinner together a minimum of 3-5 times a week. Dinner has traditionally been the times where children and parents learn to communicate, confess, laugh, cry, debate, educate…all those people skills again. If you have no sense of “family” in the home you will have no sense of family (teamwork & sharing) at work, in sports, etc.
- Work on every child’s "Self-Esteem". Negative action in many areas can be traced back to a child who does not feel good about themselves. Drug Use and violence are great examples.
- Don’t let the distinction between right and wrong get blurred in all your family members’ life or your life.
- Every day find someone who is doing something right, kind or thoughtful and tell them "thanks".
- Every day start to reflect on the "positive" that has happened and tear away from the negative focus that surrounds us...
- Help change the world for the better by making a positive influence on one person at a time...
- True Character is "What you do when nobody is watching"
- Bring Religion Back to our homes, schools, daily lives...
- Don’t EVER give up...
