Fair Labor Standards Act in reference to paid travel time:
The FLSA states that travel activity is compensable except for three basic situations; (1) During bona fide meal periods, (2) When they are sleeping in adequate facilities provided by employer and (3) when it is home-to-work travel.
Additionally, employees who are required to ride in a car as assistants or helpers are working while riding except during meal and sleep times.
